A while ago I started a regular piece on Trabant technical questions and answers, taken from the IFA Club Yahoo Pages. This month I decided to regularly publish these on this website.
This month we have Piston Clearance, Electronic Ignitions, Engine Problems with Trabant 1.1, Heater Hoses, Taking the Engine Out without the Gearbox, Wiper Conversion, and Trabant Wheel Colour.

I’ve never seen a trailer made especially for a Trabant, but why not! It all looks in cleanable condition and being a standard “Trabant Blue” colour it would match most Trabants on the road, esp as they all used to have tow bars fitted too.
From the ebay description (just ignore the bit about the body being made of paper!):
“This trailer is a former eastern block trailer used with Trabant cars. So you could say collectable. It does need work doing, floor not good, tow hook needs unseezing. The tyres are still legal and the drop back and sides are fine. Suspension is also ok. It just needs a little bit of work. The frame is galvanised and the body is actually madfe from paper!”
